The Process

• CariTech Tape & Reel 1 Complete fully operational Tape and reel packaging systems are available from CariTech Tape and Reel Systems to meet every tape and reel application from miniature 1 mm sizes and chip scale bare die packages, to microprocessors for the electronics industry. Wider tape for heat shield, heat sinks and metal stampings for other industries and application are also available. We provide design and consultancy services right down to final delivery of product as required. Because the tape and reel system can become a raise compatibility issues with legacy systems, we are able to provide tape qualification assistance from design up to mass production phase in, with our long user experience.

• With Solidworks, Pro-E and AutoCAD capability, we can provide product design services based on any form of input – prototypes, IC devices, sketches, end user requirements, etc.. Chip fit analysis to the pocket to EIA 541 standards is mandatory for electronic components.

• CariTech's unique match metal die forming processes ensure consistent and positive pocket forms 100% of the time. We provide Our in-house toolshop with CNC wire-cut EDM capability ensures fast tooling from design in less than a week.

• All form tape is 100% pocket inspected during forming with state of the art in-line systems to provide reliability. Quality at source is our motto. Our Quality labs also provide Peel off strength, pocket crush strength, high heat and humidity aging , cold weather aging reliability test capability in addition to mechanical tests and 3D CMM non-contact measurement capabilities.

• Bottom Embossed / Formed Tape
  Bottom carrier tape in clear, static dissipative and conductive PS and PC polymers are available in all EIA standard widths in both single wound reel or cross ( level) wound reels. Tape can be supplied in returnable injection molded reels up to 800 meters or in single wound paper or PP corrugated C-Flute construction.

• Top Adhesive Cover Tape
  Pressure sensitive adhesive ( PSA ) and Heat seal activated adhesive ( HSA ) cover tapes are available in all EIA standard widths and custom withs suitable for all bottom carrier tape polymers. Cover Tape comes in industry standard lengths up to 3,000 meters.

• Reels
  Reels are available in paper or PS polymer construction, in single piece, 2 piece or 3 piece construction, in user assembled or pre-assembled ultrasonic welded styles, in all EIA standard widths and diameters , in various colors, in conductive, static dissipative and anti-stat topically coated grades and hub diameters. Custom hub insertion slots and pre-angled slot designs are available. .

• Pro-Bands
  Protective bands help to prevent reel flange collapse during vacuum packing of Tape and Reel packaged IC products are available in all EIA size widths or custom widths and thicknesses. Pro-bands are in the same conductive or static dissipative polymer materials used for bottom carrier tape.
